Microschools and learning pods in Lee County

A small Lee learning community can be funded three different ways, and the choice determines which families can pay with a scholarship.

What are the funding routes for a Lee County microschool?

Register as a private school and accept the Private School Scholarship and FES-UA; become a PEP-approved hybrid with two or more full on-site days a week; or operate as a tutoring program paid from PEP and FES-UA accounts. Each route has its own paperwork.

How many Lee schools already take PEP?

Only a handful: the October 28, 2026 directory flags five, in Estero, downtown Fort Myers, North Fort Myers and Lehigh Acres. Demand from PEP families outruns the seats.

What does Acton-style and specialized programming look like locally?

Lee already has Acton Academy campuses in Alva and Estero and several specialized education centers, which shows the range of small formats families here will consider.
